Venice, Italy, year 1998. Tobia is a boy from Tuscany; he is targeted for his innocence and fragility by three Roman off-site students living in the Veneto region, from whom he has been suffering physical violence for several years. Tobia is paralyzed, his daily routine occupied by worries. The film recounts, in a vast time frame, from 1998 to 2007 what happens in the protagonist's life. Studying, first loves and jobs do not work out, the physical and psychological violence Tobia has suffered makes him insecure. His wealthy family is also a source of problems, stories of alcoholism and parental superficiality make him increasingly insecure. The boy is seen by his father as a mistake and because of this their relationship is almost nonexistent, with his mother things are slightly better, although in the end she always puts herself and her husband before Tobia, her superficiality is unbearable and her love for her son practically nonexistent. Even in her everyday life the situation is catastrophic. Ho vinto io is a story of insecurities, fears, loves, revenge and much more, which with a few small glimpses of cold comedy here and there is meant to bring to light the real problem of bullying and violence in general, both physical and psychological, that anyone could suffer from outside people, but increasingly from those closest and tightest around us.
Venezia, anno 1998.
