Also for the fifth edition, on 28 October FCCV will celebrate the International Day of Animation Cinema (IAD) with the Charles-Ėmile Reynaud Award, in memory of the first screening of animated drawings by the French inventor and director, precursor of animation cinema. The selection and the Jury are handled by the Camera Film Association.

The VI edition of the Castel Volturno Film Festival confirms documentaries among the categories that can apply to participate in the international competition that favors independent cinematography to win the FCCV DOCUMENTARY Award.
The team of selectors has selected 25 shorts from all over the world, to deliver them to the FCCV Jury and the Young Jury who assign the Award to the best short film in their respective categories. Special mentions are also awarded for direction, photography, screenplay, actor, actress and soundtrack.
